High on Mount Terminilo, a small wooden cross leans into the wind.
No name. No date. Just a goodbye carved by a grieving child:

“Corse su queste montagne.
Ora corre nei miei sogni.
Ciao, angelo.”
(He ran across these mountains.
Now he runs in my dreams.
Goodbye, angel.)

They carried him up alone,wrapped in an old blanket, heart in pieces.
Dug with bare hands. Buried their best friend where the sky felt closest.
Left behind: a leash, a flower, and a silence that still speaks.

Some say, when the wind is just right,
you can still hear him running.

The Rock of St. Francis in Greccio is not just stone,it’s silence, prayer, and presence.
High in the Umbrian hills, this humble rock cradled the heart of a man who longed only for simplicity and closeness to the divine.
Here, Francis prayed,not in grandeur, but in stillness.
It was on this very rock that he dreamed of the first living Nativity, reminding the world that love was born in a manger, surrounded by animals, wrapped in humility.

To stand there is to feel the weight of something timeless.
To touch it is to be reminded that God can be found in the quiet, in nature, in the bare and beautiful real.
I was deeply fortunate to have stood upon this rock.
And in that moment, everything slowed down.
