Salient anatomical features of female urethra
a. 3-5 in length
b. Extends from bladder neck to external urethral meatus
c. Lined by transitional epithelium in proximal half and nonkeratanized squamous epithelium in distal half.
c. The sub-mucosa comprises of longitudinal and circular elastic fibers and a prominent venous plexus
d. The engorgement of this venous plexus leads to narrowing of luminal diameter of urethra and thus forms a hermetic seal contributing to thirty three percent of urethral closing pressure.
e. This venous plexus is hormone sensitive and its volume decreases with age.
f. It is surrounded with three smooth muscle layers i.e outer , inner circular and middle circular.
e. In the distal two third a layer of striated muscle known as Rhabdo-Sphincter surrounds the smooth muscle on dorsal and lateral aspects and provides constant urethral pressure

Criteria for the diagnosis of second primary breast cancer :
A. There must be in situ change in the contra lateral tumor.
B. The tumor in the second breast must be histologically different from the cancer in the first breast.
C. The degree of histological differentiation of the tumor in the second breast must be distinctly greater than that of the lesion in the first breast.
D. There must be no evidence of local, regional, or distant metastases from the cancer in the ipsilateral breast.

The word Claudication is derived from name Claudius a Roman emperor
The emperor suffered from a childhood disease which caused him to limp (mostly poliomyelitis). Hence the word claudico became synonymous with limping.
Hence, the claudication word comes from the name of the Emperor who limped. (Of course not because of Claudication!!! A nice paradox
