I say this for all those who are working as mental health professionals as much as for anyone else. In the last year and a half, all of us have gotten affected mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Each of us has one’s own struggle and pain points which though may be common, yet feel very unique. In our work through the last year and a half, we have been part of many such stories of courage, resilience and integrity. As we continue to work our ways through this pandemic, we bow down to all those who selflessly continue to put themselves on the side while they take care of others. We hope that we all have the tolerance and compassion towards each other that helps remind us that at the end of the day these people in front of us are also mere human beings, that they too are work-in-progress, and they too can err.

Looking forward to being a part of again!!

Do you think s*x and mental health are connected?

Do you feel often s*x happens much more in the mind than in the body?

Do you agree that s*x easily occupies a large part of one’s mental scape and that this may be throwing a lot of us off-balance?

If any of these questions resonates with you and there are many more such questions, then join , Aditya Gautam and I as we explore this relationship between s*x and mental health.

Here you go .aggarwal.5095!!

Continuing with the challenge! I started out by making one doodle to humour Shivani only to realise that it’s actually fun. Like I said to her, I’m pretending to be an artist!!

So, here I am talking about how I’m trying to be as suggested by .

I began my journey with yoga in 2007 when I signed up for the and ever since there’s been no looking back. I honestly didn’t expect myself to be consistent but I surprised myself. I suppose the nature of my work really helped with this. At the end of a day, after 6-7 sessions, I used to feel completely drained and cranky. As I started my mandala I saw that the evening practice immediately recharged me and restored my equilibrium. And that’s how became a way of life for me.

Over the years, I added to my practices and went through phases of “my-practices-are-going-well” to “can’t-keep-up-with-my-practices-at-all”. It continues being an everyday endeavour and that I feel is my real . Of course there are people like .hathayoga who help keep the momentum going with her posts.

As I tried to bring about a 10% improvement in my practices, and was doing well, my cervical pain started acting up and things came to a bit of a halt. But then that’s how the story goes. Tomorrow will be another day!!

Locked-down with the Parents? Feeling trapped? Keep reading!
✨ - Do you feel like you are, at times, being used as punching bags by your parents? . - Do you feel that it is unfair that they get to say things to you but you need to stay quiet? (out of respect/fear or any other reason) .
- Do you feel that your parents have unrealistic expectations of you? And worst of all, do you feel trapped because you cannot even find a release of pent up emotion and energy thanks to the lockdown?

Doing something fun thanks to and the insistence by .aggarwal.5095!! Haven’t drawn/painted since school days and obviously I told her a flat no when she tagged me in the challenge. But then I remembered that I had to make myself 10% better. 😄😄

I chose to post this here because I know all of you can use this “challenge” or “inspiration” to try and make yourself 10% better at something in your life.

It’s so easy for all of us to start feeling low, lethargic, and completely demotivated these days. So why not use this (or any) chance to lift ourselves up and feel awesome about ourselves.

This post is all about . I spoke to a client this morning who said that he just realised that he was doing really well for himself psychologically. He spoke to several people and felt that all of them were struggling or feeling deflated. He, on the other hand, has been on top of things. And what’s his secret? ......
✨.....setting Small-Achievable- Goals.
Right from reading 4 pages a day, to posting on LinkedIn, to working on his bonsais, to becoming a less cranky person....he has gradually, steadily made progress in all areas.

No prizes for guessing the degree of satisfaction!!

Lots of quality time with family this lockdown. Or is it too much?_
💫

From tambola nights to utensil-cleaning sessions, we’re all living under the same roof with our family, quite literally.
💫
We all are going through varied experiences with our families during this lockdown. Some are bonding and others are facing strife. Since we all are of a different mould, seeing the same faces everyday can become a mix of joy and feeling mundane.
💫

*Project Ruhani* brings to you, a much awaited online session, *“The Fam Jam”*, an insight into family interlaced with this lockdown, by *Purnima Sahai*, counselling psychologist and founder-owner of ANAM CARA. 💫
💫

Be ready for a *free zoom session on 15th May, Friday, 4 PM onwards.*
