This project will help the school, the therapy unit and you as parents, to work together as a team towards the development of our kids in a holistic manner & cater to the therapeutic needs if they have any. The unit would also cater for children who do not have a special need, yet have a few minor misses which makes their overall adjustment to class difficult, resulting in their learning being les
s than what they have the potential for. This Therapy unit will serve the following purpose:
• Special education: to cater preschool education prerequisites.
• Occupational Therapy Sessions: focussing on sensory integration, catering to “hyper” & “hypo” sensory needs and other sensory behavioural issues that a child may have; to help with appropriate gross motor functioning, fine motor functions, pre-writing areas and assist in ‘daily living skills’ such as dressing-undressing, eating etc.
• “Social-communication based play Sessions” with the ultimate focus on play as an essential tool for communication, social, sharing, participation & interaction development. Team Little Wonders SEN Programme consists of the following:
