Every child sees the world differently…
And children with autism?
They experience it in ways we’re still learning to understand. 💙

This Autism Awareness Month,
let’s move beyond awareness → towards acceptance,
patience, and real support.

Parenting a child with autism isn’t about “fixing” them.
It’s about understanding their world, adapting with love, and
celebrating every small win.

ADHD brains aren’t “weak” they’re wired for stimulation.
Social media? It’s engineered to
deliver exactly that:

• instant rewards
• endless novelty
• unpredictable dopamine hits

For an ADHD brain, this isn’t just a habit…
it’s a *neurobiological trap*.

What looks like “lack of discipline” is often:
→ dopamine dysregulation
→ difficulty with impulse control
→ craving for quick stimulation over
delayed rewards

And the more we scroll, the harder it
becomes to focus, regulate, and disengage.

This isn’t about blaming yourself.
It’s about understanding your brain
and designing your environment to support it.

Awareness is step one. Boundaries come next.

🧠 Step 1: Look for Readiness Signs

Toilet training should start when the child shows readiness, not based on age.

Watch for these signs:

✔ Stays dry for 1.5–2 hours
✔ Shows discomfort with a wet diaper
✔ Can sit for 3–5 minutes
✔ Follows simple instructions
✔ Shows interest in bathroom or toilet

👉 If these signs appear — it’s a good time to begin.

🚻 Step 2: Start a Routine

Children with developmental delays need structure and predictability.

✔ Take the child to the toilet every 1.5–2 hours
✔ Always try after meals and after waking up
✔ Use the same toilet seat or potty
✔️Use visual cards

Routine builds body awareness.

🎲 Step 3: Make it Positive

Toilet training should never feel like pressure.

✔ Praise small successes
✔ Use claps, smiles, or sticker rewards
✔ Avoid punishment for accidents

Children learn faster with positive reinforcement.

⏳ Step 4: Be Patient

Children with developmental delays may take longer to learn body signals.

✔ Stay calm
✔ Stay consistent
✔ Progress may be slow but steady
