A natural healthy tongue is pink in colour, but sometimes a white coating may be seen. This comprises of bacteria, food debris and dead cells.This is normal but it needs to be cleaned regularly.

Don't forget to clean your tongue with a brush or a tongue cleaner every time you clean your teeth.

Your mouth has millions of bacteria in there

That's why it is so important for daily plaque removal using your brush plus something to clean in between all those little spaces between the teeth(dental floss)

If we miss a tooth brushing session or forget to clean in between we allow the bad bacteria to grow more harmful and increase in quantity.

Resulting in bad breath, staining but more seriously periodontal disease (gum disease), increased risk of some systemic diseases like cardiovascular disease, diabetes etc.,

So do proper brushing and flossing daily and visit to dentist for professional cleaning

Smoking Leads to Gum Disease!

Smoking and other to***co products can lead to gum disease by affecting the attachment of bone and soft tissue to your teeth.

It affects normal function of gum tissue cells.

This interference makes smokers more susceptible to infections, such as periodontal disease, and also seems to impair blood flow to the gums - which may affect wound healing.
