A New Holistic Model of Integrative Healthcare Launched
A new chapter in holistic healthcare began in New Delhi as leading voices in modern medicine came together with experts in naturopathy, ayurveda, homeopathy, and lifestyle medicine to explore how integrative approaches can transform patient outcomes.
The Curtain Raiser Symposium of the Venu Institute of Integrative Medicine and Research (VIIMR) held at Venu Eye Institute & Research Centre brought together medical experts to discuss “Integrative Medicine: The Next Frontier in Patient-Centered Care” and “Compassionate and Collaborative Medicine.”
The event showcased how blending science and tradition can help manage chronic diseases more effectively and compassionately. Esteemed speakers including Dr. Ashwini Setya, Dr. Rajesh Mehta, Dr. Rajiv Mohan, Dr. Deepak Singh, Dr. Ritu Sethi, Dr. Arvind Kishore, Dr. Chitra Setya, and Dr. Ashok Bhatt shared evidence-based insights on integrative care.
“No system of medicine is flawless; every system has its strengths. This is an opportunity for complementary treatments to offer comprehensive, synergistic care,” said Dr. Ashwini Setya, Advisor, VIIMR.
Ms. Tanuja Joshi, Managing Director, VIIMR, emphasized that integrative medicine:
* Addresses root causes, not just symptoms
* Enhances recovery and reduces side effects
* Bridges tradition with innovation
* Focuses on total wellness and preventive health
“At VIIMR, care goes beyond prescriptions—it’s about nurturing healthier, happier lives, because true healthcare heals totally,” she said.
The sessions were chaired by distinguished specialists Dr. Ashok Sharma, Dr. Vinod Batra, Dr. Vaneeta Kapur, and Dr. Atul Prasad, and graced by Ms. Sujaya Krishnan, President, VEIRC, who reaffirmed the institute’s vision of building on Venu’s four-decade legacy of excellence in eye care through integrative and compassionate medicine.
A fusion of science, compassion, and tradition — the future of healthcare begins here.
