Once upon a time, Goddess Parvati created a beautiful boy from sandalwood paste and breathed life into him. This boy was Lord Ganesh, the elephant-headed god known as the remover of obstacles and the giver of wisdom. One day, guarding his mother's door, Ganesh Ji stopped Lord Shiva, unaware of who he was. In the ensuing battle, Lord Shiva beheaded him. To bring him back to life, Shiva replaced his head with that of a powerful elephant. Blessed by all gods, Ganesh Ji became the leader of the ganas and the beloved deity who clears paths for all. His blessings ensure success and wisdom in our lives.
