🌟 A True Tooth-Saver Story 🌟

Last week, 32-year-old Sunil Datta walked into our Gurugram clinic fighting back frustration. He had started his root canal treatment somewhere else. After the procedure, a cap (crown) was placed on the tooth—but Sunil continued to feel pain. That’s when he decided to visit Dr Gurjap Singh for a second opinion.

A new digital X-ray and CBCT scan revealed the real issue: “The instrument just snapped inside your canal.” A broken 5–6 mm Ni-Ti file was still lodged deep in a curved molar canal—missed during the earlier treatment.

Here’s how the day turned around ⤵

1️⃣ Digital X-ray + CBCT revealed a 5–6 mm Ni-Ti fragment in the lower molar.2️⃣ Under 14× dental-microscope magnification, Dr Gurjap Singh used ultrasonic ET-25 tips to trough around the metal without removing healthy dentine.3️⃣ The fragment started to vibrate; a fine H-file was used to bypass the obstruction, allowing complete cleaning and shaping of the canal.4️⃣ We disinfected with 5.25 % NaOCl + 17 % EDTA, sealed the canal using warm vertical obturation, and scanned the tooth for a same-day CAD/CAM crown.5️⃣ Two hours later, Sunil left chewing confidently, astonished that a “failed RCT” could become a painless, single-visit rescue. 🦷✨
