First Micra AV2 Leadless Pacemaker Successfully Implanted at Max Hospital, Saket

For the first time in the entire Max group of hospitals, a Micra AV2 leadless pacemaker was successfully implanted at Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. This next-generation device offers AV synchronous pacing with an impressive longevity of 15.6 years and advanced algorithms that cut programming time by 50%. Its minimally invasive leadless design reduces the risk of infection and ensures faster recovery, making it an ideal solution for elderly patients with complex surgical histories.

🫀 TEER in DMR: Patient Selection, Timing & Techniques
A concise summary from the latest ACC/AHA & ESC/EACTS guidelines (JACC 2023) on managing Degenerative MR (DMR), along with practical anatomical classification to guide M-TEER decision-making.

🔹 Guideline Highlights for TEER in DMR:
• ACC/AHA: Class IIa - Severe symptomatic DMR | High-surgical-risk patients with favourable MV anatomy & >1 year life expectancy.

• ESC/EACTS: TEER is Class IIb in similar patients, recommended with caution to avoid futility.

• Asymptomatic patients or those with preserved LV function remain surgical candidates.

🔍 Anatomical Suitability for M-TEER (DMR)

✅ Ideal (Non-complex) Anatomy for M-TEER:
These cases are most likely to yield high procedural success and durable outcomes:

* Central pathology (A2/P2)
* No calcification
* MVA >4.0 cm²
* Posterior leaflet ≥10 mm
* Coaptation depth (tenting height)

Pushing the Boundaries of Cardiac Innovation
Proud to be part of the landmark Kanpur Cardiology Summit 2025, where the revolutionary Capsule Pacemaker — India’s latest leap in minimally invasive cardiac technology — was showcased.

Unlike traditional pacemakers, this next-gen device is smaller than a capsule, requires no surgical incision or wires, and is implanted directly into the heart. A major advancement in heart rhythm management — especially for high-risk or elderly patients.

Honored to represent a future where cardiac care becomes safer, simpler, and more accessible.

Proud to share this moment! 🙏

Honoured to be featured in The Sunday Standard’s coverage of the Health Care Conclave 2025, and to be recognized as one of the Pride of Indian Healthcare alongside some of the nation’s most respected medical professionals.

The conclave, held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, was a powerful gathering of thought leaders, policymakers, and healthcare innovators — all aligned with the mission of “Health for All.”

It’s deeply fulfilling to see the field of interventional cardiology being acknowledged, and I remain committed to advancing accessible, life-saving cardiac care with compassion, precision, and purpose.

Grateful for the recognition, and inspired to continue this journey of healing. 💙
