🔬 Milestone Achieved at AIIMS Deoghar!
On the eve of Doctors’ Day, AIIMS Deoghar proudly inaugurated its Medicolegal Postmortem Services on 1st July 2025, marking a significant advancement in forensic healthcare in Jharkhand.

The Postmortem Centre was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Saurabh Varshney, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Deoghar, in the esteemed presence of Prof. Harminder Singh (Dean Academics), Prof. Dr. S. Patra (Medical Superintendent), Prof. Dr. Nishat Ahmed Sheikh (HoD, Forensic Medicine), and other faculty members. 🏥

The first medicolegal autopsy was successfully conducted on 5th July 2025 by Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Prof. Dr. Nishat – strengthening our commitment to scientific, transparent, and timely justice delivery. ⚖️🧬

This development is a major step towards enhancing forensic capabilities and public service in Jharkhand and neighboring regions.

🚨 New Milestone in Bone Health at AIIMS Deoghar! 🦴

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar proudly inaugurated its state-of-the-art DEXA (Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) machine – a cutting-edge facility for accurate bone mineral density (BMD) assessment and early diagnosis of osteoporosis and other bone-related diseases. 💪

The facility was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Varshney, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Deoghar, whose vision continues to strengthen patient-centric care. The event was also graced by Lt. Col. Abhik Das, Deputy Director, and Prof. (Dr.) Satya Ranjan Patra, Medical Superintendent.

Special thanks to Dr. Manish Raj, HoD, Orthopaedics, for his expert guidance in setting up this vital facility.

14 जून 2025 को एम्स, देवघर में विश्व रक्तदाता दिवस मनाया गया।
आज भारतीय रेड क्रॉस सोसाइटी (आईआरसीएस) देवघर के सहयोग से “ब्लड डोनेशन ऑन व्हील्स” कार्यक्रम के तहत स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान शिविर का आयोजन किया गया।
उद्घाटन समारोह की शुरुआत एम्स देवघर के कार्यकारी निदेशक डॉ सौरभ वार्ष्णेय के संदेश एवं उप निदेशक (प्रशासन) लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल अभिक दास और अन्य सम्मानित अतिथियों द्वारा दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ हुई, जिनमें अधिष्ठाता (अनुसंधान) डॉ. प्रतिमा गुप्ता, चिकित्सा अधीक्षक डॉ. सत्य रंजन पात्र, प्रिंसिपल (कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग) डॉ. सी. वसंता कल्याणी, आईआरसीएस देवघर के अध्यक्ष श्री जितेश राजपाल, आईआरसीएस देवघर के उपाध्यक्ष श्री पीयूष जायसवाल, आईआरसीएस देवघर के कोषाध्यक्ष श्री राजकुमार बरनवाल और कार्यक्रम स्थल पर मौजूद अन्य अतिथि शामिल थे।
दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के पश्चात एम्स देवघर के उप निदेशक (प्रशासन), आईआरसीएस देवघर के अध्यक्ष एवं उपाध्यक्ष तथा डॉक्टरों, नर्सों, अन्य कर्मचारियों एवं दर्शकों सहित अन्य सभी गणमान्य अतिथियों ने विश्व रक्तदाता दिवस 2025 पर नियमित रूप से रक्तदान करने तथा स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान के महत्व के बारे में दूसरों में जागरूकता फैलाने और जब भी किसी को रक्त की आवश्यकता हो, रक्तदान करने की शपथ ली। इसके पश्चात गणमान्य अतिथियों का अभिनंदन किया गया। रक्तदान शिविर सुबह 10.30 बजे सभागार में सिविल सर्जन, देवघर द्वारा रक्त केंद्र, सदर अस्पताल, देवघर से भेजी गई एक टीम द्वारा प्रारंभ हुआ। सभी गणमान्य अतिथियों ने रक्तदान स्थल का दौरा किया और रक्तदाताओं को सम्मानित किया। रक्तदान के लिए 70 से अधिक स्वयंसेवक पहुंचे, जिनमें से 64 रक्तदान के लिए उपयुक्त पाए गए। रक्तदान शिविर में एम्स देवघर के उप निदेशक (प्रशासन), विभिन्न संकायों, नर्सिंग अधिकारियों, प्रशासनिक कर्मचारियों, छात्रों, इंजीनियरों, सुरक्षा कर्मियों और अन्य कर्मचारियों तथा अन्य स्वयंसेवकों द्वारा कुल 64 यूनिट रक्त स्वैच्छिक रूप से दान किया गया। शिविर सफल रहा।
