THE ORIGIN OF VEDIC HEALING

Brahma, the creator god in the Trimurti of Hinduism, having four faces is the creator of the four Vedas, one from each of his mouth. These are: RIGVEDA - an ancient Indian collection of Vedic Sanskrit hymns, SAMVEDA – the veda of melodies and chants, ATHARVAVEDA – the storehouse of knowledge of the procedure for everyday life, YAJURVEDA – a compilation of ritual offer

These Vedas, in true sense are the theories and to help people apply these Vedas, Upavedas were created which forms the ‘applied knowledge’ of the four Vedas (Rig, Sam, Yajur & Atharv)

Furthermore, the Upavedas is the combination of: Ayurveda – science of medicine, Gandharvaveda – science of music and dance, Dhanurveda - science of archery and warfare, Arthveda - science of sociology and economics. These auxiliary fields of Vedic studies emerged because the language of the Vedas, composed centuries earlier, became too archaic to the people of that time. The Vedangas were sciences that focused on helping people understand and interpret the Vedas that had been composed many centuries earlier. The six subjects of Vedanga are: Jyotisa – time keeping and astronomy, Siksa – phonetics, Chandas – poetic meter, Vyakarana – Grammer, Nirukta – Etymology and linguistics, Kalpa - rituals and rites of passage. Veddhama came into being to offer true vedic healing treatment methods to the society by combining the essence of Upavedas and Vedangas that does not give symptomatic healing remedies but heals one’s mind, body and soul so that the recurrence of the disease is ceased. Veddhama is the only center in the world that is created to offer holistic healing treatments that combines Ayurveda, Jyotisa, Music, Yoga, Martial arts, Mantras, Rituals, Yagna, Hymns, customized specific to individual’s Prakriti and Janam Nakshatras
