Ashram stage was one of the main important practices of Hindu way of living. While Ahimsa(non-violence) and Satya(truthfulness) were practiced morally, Ashram structure was deeply rooted in this lifestyle.
An average life was considered as 100 years and it was divided into 4 categories. The wholesome reason was to attain the highest mode of life which was to get liberation.
After having all the worldly things, it was determined to follow a path for self-attunement.
after completing 2/3 of life, a person was moving towards Sanyasa(renunciation) which was for being free from the birth of cycle.
In modern world, people consider their whole life to live into fulfilling desires which is only to thrive towards the darkness. As people consider to stay permanently on the earth, while everyone has a full stop in life.
Hinduism highly recommends to move the senses inwards so a person could identify the purpose of life and the senses which are busy in external matters could move internally to attain the freedom. Try itποΈ
