🌑 In the Moments of Darkness, Don’t Forget Your Worth 🌸
(Timeless wisdom for healing the heart and remembering the soul’s light)
In every soul’s journey, there comes a phase where silence feels heavier, light seems dim, and doubts cloud the inner sky.
These are the “तामसिक क्षण” (tāmasika kṣaṇaḥ) — moments ruled by darkness, confusion, and heaviness. But even then, your inner worth—स्वमूल्य (svamūlya)—never fades. It is सत्यम् (satyam), ever-true, ever-pure.
Remember: You are not your emotions. You are the witness – the “साक्षी (sākṣī)”
Your worth is not defined by what happens to you, but by what shines within you.
🪷 1. Know Your Soul Nature – आत्मस्वरूप बोध (ātmasvarūpa bodha)
Remind yourself:
“अहं ब्रह्मास्मि – I am the Infinite.”
Your true identity is not limited by this temporary pain. These are passing clouds, but your आत्मा (ātmā) is the endless sky.
Practice:
• Sit silently and repeat:
🕉️ “शिवोऽहम्, शिवोऽहम्” – “I am pure, I am auspicious.”
• Place your hand on your heart and say gently: “I am the soul, not this suffering.”
🌿 2. Honor Your Emotions – भाव-संमान (bhāva-sammāna)
Your feelings are not your weakness. They are sacred messengers. Don’t suppress or judge them.
Technique: Journaling the Shadow
• Write down:
• “What am I feeling?”
• “What does this feeling want to teach me?”
• “What would compassion say to this pain?”
• Close your journal with the Sanskrit word:
“करुणा (karuṇā)” – Compassion
🔥 3. Light the Inner Flame – अन्तरदीप प्रज्वलन (antardīpa prajvalana)
When you feel worthless, visualize a small flame in your heart. That flame is your चैतन्य (chaitanya) – consciousness. It can never be blown out.
Practice:
• Gaze at a real diya or candle.
• Affirm softly with each breath:
“The light within me is eternal – नित्यम् ज्योतिर्मयम्”
• Feel your chest glow and expand with golden warmth.
🧘♀️ 4. Be Your Own Friend – आत्ममित्र भाव (ātma-mitra bhāva)
We speak harshly to ourselves when low. But your inner child is listening. Be soft, be kind.
Practice:
• Place both hands on your chest. Close your eyes.
• Say in your mind like a mother to her child:
“I am here. I love you. I will not abandon you.”
• Repeat the Sanskrit mantra:
“मम आत्मा सखा अस्ति।” – “My soul is my friend.”
🌊 5. Let it Flow – भाव प्रवाह (bhāva pravāha)
When you feel like crying, let the tears fall. They are गंगा की बूंदें (Gaṅgā kī būndēṁ) – sacred drops of release. Releasing pain is also healing.
Practice:
• While allowing emotion to rise, chant softly:
“गंगे माँ, मेरे भावों को ले जाओ।” – “Mother Ganga, carry my emotions away.”
🌸 6. Affirm Your Worth – मूल्यम् स्मरणम् (mūlyam smaraṇam)
Worth is not given by the world. It is remembered from within.
Write or chant these powerful affirmations daily:
• “मम जीवनं मूल्यवान् अस्ति।” – My life is valuable.
• “मम आत्मा अनन्तशक्तियुक्ता अस्ति।” – My soul is full of infinite power.
• “मम दुःखः अस्थायी अस्ति।” – My sorrow is temporary.
• “मम प्रकाशः नित्यम् अस्ति।” – My light is eternal.
🌼 Final Healing Reminder:
When in darkness, say this sacred vow to yourself:
“स्वदीपः भव – Be your own light.”

You are not lost.
You are not broken.
You are only remembering.
