Glimpses of the CME on Su***de Risk Assessment and Crisis intervention organized by Department of Psychiatry, AMC under it's AMI ASU (AMC initiative to abort Su***de) initiative on 12.08.22. It was pleasure meeting and listening to Prof Lakshmi Vijaya Kumar madam Prof Pranit Kumar Chaudhury sir, Prof Hiranya Kumar Goswami sir, Prof Kamala Deka madam and Prof Soumitra Ghosh sir. This CME was accredited with 2 CME credit points. This CME will help us rendering our su***de prevention helpline services in a more effective way. Su***de helpline no. 7099021108. This helpline was launched in 12th February 2022 and it is first of its kind and is managed by the psychiatrist and qualified psychologist and psychiatric social worker

Mental health is an integral and essential component of health. The WHO constitution states: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." An important implication of this definition is that mental health is more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.
In connection with World Mental Health Day, AIR Dibrugarh will broadcast an interview with Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bhuyan, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Assam Medical College on 10.10.2020 at 7.15 P.M. in the programme "Yuvavani".
