Happening now as epidemic in children specially below 5 year. This is not monkey/tomato etc pox. A self resolving viral disease. No need to panic. Child should take more liquid, non spicy soft diet. No serious or long term complications of this illness. The rashes will totally dissapear and there won't be any scars. No need skip school or normal activities for prolonge period.

Sharing one picture which is common in this season an scary to look. It's a kind of viral infection called Hand Foot and Mouth disease and as the name suggests there is rashes inside the mouth also. There may be some fever, crankyness, running nose and eye redness. Not to panic as its self resolving and needs minimal symptomatic treatment.
