As a psychiatrist, I tell my patients this almost every day: Don’t skip breakfast if your mood is low, anxiety is up or you’re stressed.

A meta-analysis of nearly 400,000 people found skipping it linked to:
• 39% higher depression
• 55% higher distress
• 23% higher stress
• 51% higher anxiety in teens

Plus: eating most calories earlier in the day (not heavy dinners) gives more weight loss & better blood sugar & cholesterol.

Sleep problems in older adults are far more common than we talk about.

In clinics, I often meet elderly patients who say, “Doctor saab, age ho gayi hai… ab neend kahan aati hai.” Many families assume disturbed sleep is simply part of ageing. This is not always true, medically.
