Today onwards second batch of fish farming with biofloc technology training started.
Dr. Dhrubajyoti sarma, managing director of fishfed,while interacting with trainees.
Fishery expert Dr. Sanjay sarma, Professor and HOD of Raha fishery college Dr. Binod kalita, Senior executive officer from NFDB Mr. Asim Bora, President of NGO Jeeva Suraksha Mrs. Ranjita Bania and Biofloc Entrepreneur Rishiraj Choudhury will also share their knowledge with trainees.
There will be special sessions on seed selection,marketing,fish health management etc. With the focus to help biofloc fishery emerge as a new successful fishery industry.
A special thanks to Dr. Atul Borgohain associate director,Directorate of extension education for organising the training program.

Today is world soil day.
Our ancestors had use it sensitively, it is our responsibility to use soil organically and pass on to our next generation healthy soil so that they can grow crops and veggies.
Say no to chemical fertilizers and yes to manures and vermi compose.
Killing micro organisms will kill our soil.
We will die one day but soil will remain forever.

Singi and koi mixed culture in 2 meter biofloc tank.
It's been 2 months and the average growth compared to 4 diameter tank is low but maintenance and risk are very low.

It may take time to reach harvesting size but I think for hobbie , 2 diameter tank is best. We can maintain biofloc culture or clear water as the water capacity is low.
