Remembering the : A Dark Day in Jammu & Kashmir's History
Today, we recall the tragic events of the Chapanri Massacre, which took place on 19, 1998, in the Chapnari ( Ganika ) village of the Doda district in Jammu & Kashmir, India. This horrific incident saw the brutal killing of 26 Hindus by terrorists belonging to the Islamic terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.Every year a bhandara is organised by Jasdev Bijyal and team which is attended by victims families as well. But this year only few people joined, also people from affected families were very few in numbers. Fruit & Drinking water distribution was done by Jasdev Bijyal and team but there was no ground support from Sanatan Dharam Sabha.Like every year this year also it doesn’t require any special invitation to pay tribute to our martyrs.
Whenever political support is required everyone speaks about this but ground realities are different. To unite the Hindus it is important we should remain united and we should teach about this to our next generations.
This is only possible when we stand together with all the families of victims.
