It's not been a long time since the establishment of the neon hospital, it came into a concept in the year 2017 April, and it took 428 days ( 8 July 2018) to come into reality. Dombivli's Neon Hospitals is a slashing Multispeciality Hospital. the neon hospital is located in rural thane city at the juncture of new Mumbai, twin city Kalyan Dombivali at Kalyan shill road near Palava city. The hospital was built in a phased manner which can be upgraded to the infrastructure of 100 beds supers specialty according to NABH norms over an area of 26000 sq ft. Our hospital is the only hospital near 27 villages on SHILL PHATA junction. the neon hospital started with a bed capacity of 40 beds. 10-bed ICU, 12 Gen ward beds, two major operation theaters with advanced C arm system & anesthesia work station, 04 bed NICU, 02-bed dialysis twin sharing rooms single rooms 24*7 in-house pharmacy, NABL accredited pathology, casualty. The hospital is quite spacious, neat & clean where hygiene has been given priority. During our first year of working when the hospital wasn’t empaneled with GIPSA, we admitted 1000 patients to more than 200 major and minor surgeries. Then the time came which was a nightmare, extremes times for humanity in November 2019 when covid 19 started, and by the time of march end country was gripped by the covid pandemic. As our system was quite new to the disease, treatment, and fear factor at the height we decided to take up the challenge. With the local governance, we have dedicated our hospital to at least 100 days to covid patients at the initial levels till the system is upgraded and is ready to tackle the crisis i.e. by not charging to pt. during the same period apart from admission, we have also screened nearby villagers approx. 40000 . We have been also working on the establishment of covid care centers in nearby areas. During that period employed 150 staff including specialists, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and ward boys. over a period of the first 180 days, we have taken care of approx. 3000 covid pt., 100 dialyzes 50 major and minor surgery, few deliveries pt. , 800 plus Mumbai policemen. We also have experts for Diabetologists and dietitians. during the same period, we have procured 10 ventilators, 3 high-flow nasal cannulas, and 02 dialysis machines for covid 19 pt. dialysis, 16-slice CT scan machine, cardiac ambulance, and normal ambulance for patient transfer. We have increased our bed strength to 100 beds to cater as covid care center with the facility of a higher center. We have been tertiary referral centers for serious and complicated pt. by bigger centers to treat pt. Even though in such tough times with almost minimal exposure/infra we were able to save thousands of pt. our primary mortality has been 30 pt. who were treated by us from day one of diagnosis, and 90 those who have been referred from other centers. This made us the safest hand to treat pt. We have continued the same trends in growing facilities like 64-slice CT SCAN, CATH LAB, CARDIAC SURGERIES, SONOGRAPHY, OPHTHALMOLOGY, and BIRTHING SUITS.
