It was established on 21 August 2000 with its first batch of students. The campus is on more than fifteen acres of land, 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) with classrooms, work-shops, labs, library, hostels, canteens, play fields, recreation centers for cultural activities,meditation center,medical unit,multi gym,wbut learning center and internet facilities.The college has received approval from the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal as a center of higher education and approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. three branch EE,CSE and ECE got NBA acceredation in 2008.ME and other brances will get NBA acceredation soon
