St.Thomas Hospital, Malakkara Founded in 1948 by Late Captain Dr A K Cherian with vision to serve in rural area. Thomas Hospital popularly called Malakkara Hospital by the villagers.

In the footprints of history “Aranmula Panchayath” is enshrined as the Holy Land and it is in this village where Malakkara is situated - a village on the bank of pamba.
