Physiotherapy Manual Techniques are used to treat Joint and Musculoskeletal Disorders. Such Common Techniques are Joint Mobilization, Soft Tissue Mobilization (STM), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Myofascial Release (MFR), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Manual Traction etc.

Chiropractic is a completely different type of Treatment.

So don't get confused between Physiotherapy and Chiropractic.

Attention parents/gaurdians/aspirant students seeking admission into Diplloma in Physiotherapy course!

❌Please do not take admission into Diploma in Physiotherapy offered by any institutions/Medical College/Hospital/NGOs/Universities of India such as State Medical Faculty, MAKAUT, Kalyani University, WB State University, Indian Medical Association, Bharat Sevak Samaj, DPMI etc.

➡️To study physiotherapy, must have 10+2 science stream. Physiotherapy can't be studied with arts or commerce background.

✅Physiotherapy is an independent Health Care Profession as per NCAHP (government of India).

✅Physiotherapy is not a medically directed profession. A qualified physiotherapist can assess, diagnose and treat accordingly.

✅To be a modern medicine physician, one needs a bachelor degree in Modern Medicine (MBBS), there is no diploma course available. Earlier there was LMF, MB but now only MBBS (as per MCI/NMC). CMS & ED is offering by some universities but not under the NMC.

✅To be a Homeopathic physician, one needs a bachelor degree in Homoeopathy (BHMS), there is no diploma course. Earlier there was DMS, DHMS but now only BHMS (as per council).

✅To be an Ayurvedic Physician, one needs a bachelor degree in Ayurveda (BAMS), there is no diploma course available. DAMS course of Bharat Sevak Samaj is not under the council.

✅To be a yoga and Naturopathic Physician, one needs a bachelor degree in Yoga and Naturopathy from a medical college (BNYS). There is no diploma course to be a yoga & naturopathy physician.

✅To be a unani or siddha physician, one needs BUMS or BSMS (bachelor degree) respectively. There is no diploma course to be a physician.

✅To be a Physiotherapy Physician/Physiotherapy Doctor/Physiotherapist, one needs a bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (BPT). There should not be a diploma. As per NCAHP, a physiotherapist must have a BPT degree from the recognized University. In the NCAHP, there is no Physiotherapy assistant or technician designation, the government of India does not approve such designation.

➡️For the practice of physiotherapy, patients may come directly to the physiotherapist, physiotherapist can prescribe the physiotherapeutic management after assessment accordingly.

➡️To practice as a physiotherapist in India must have registration from NCAHP (now the enrollment process is going on). For this, one must have a bachelor degree (BPT). After BPT, one can study MPT, PhD PT, PDF PT, DSc PT etc.

➡️If you are doing a Diploma in Physiotherapy, then:
❌You can not register under NCAHP.
❌You don't have any higher education opportunities.
❌You have no future as physiotherapist.
❌You are wasting your time, money, talent etc.
❌You will be depressed at the end.
❌You will not serve the society as professional.
