On 13th February 2026, UPUMS Saifai organized a comprehensive School Health Checkup Camp at Smt. Murti Devi Inter College, Bughaiya, Saifai under the Outreach Activity Programme Committee.
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh and the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Pal Singh, a multidisciplinary medical team examined 266 students, providing general health checkups, dental, ENT, vision, pediatric, orthopaedic and other specialty screenings. Health education on hygiene, balanced diet, adolescent health and lifestyle practices was also conducted, with referrals made for advanced care where required.
Special awareness sessions were held on World Anaemia Awareness Day and International OMFS Day, focusing on anaemia prevention, oral hygiene, road safety and facial trauma management. Free medicines were distributed as per medical advice.
The successful camp reflects UPUMS Saifai’s continued commitment to preventive healthcare and community outreach.

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), UPUMS Saifai, observed International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day on 13th February 2026, in line with AOMSI guidelines, highlighting the vital role of OMFS in trauma care and management of complex maxillofacial injuries.
Under the leadership of Dr. Atul Kr. Singh, Professor & Head, the program emphasized early diagnosis, prompt management of facial trauma, mandibular and midface fractures, dentoalveolar injuries, and soft tissue lacerations, along with the importance of a multidisciplinary and emergency-ready approach.
As part of community outreach, Dr. Abhigyan Manas and Dr. Vaibhav Anand conducted a school awareness session in Saifai, educating students on road safety, helmet use, injury prevention, and timely referral in trauma cases.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to excellence in trauma management, patient welfare, and community awareness.

The Department of Respiratory Medicine, UPUMS Saifai, organized a TB Awareness & Screening Camp at Nagla Kishori under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) as part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The camp focused on spreading awareness about tuberculosis, early detection, and timely treatment, along with on-site screening to identify suspected cases. Through such outreach initiatives, UPUMS Saifai remains committed to strengthening community health and contributing to a TB-free India.
