Today is World Health Day. Lets understand what is health as per Ayurveda and think for a moment - Are we Healthy?

Ayurveda says -
“sama dosha sama agnischa sama dhatu mala kriyaaha|
Prasanna atma indriya manaha swastha iti abhidheeyate” – (As per Sushruta Samhita)

One is in perfect health when the Three doshas ( vata, pitta and Kapha) Digestive fire ( digestion, assimilation and metabolism) all the body tissues & components (Dhatus) (the entire physical body) all the excretory functions (the physiological functions of urination and defecation) are in perfect order with a pleasantly disposed and contented mind, senses and spirit.

रोग केवल पीड़ा देने के लिए नहीं मिलता अपितु कुछ नया सिखाने के लिए कुछ नया अनुभव देने के लिए जीवन में आता है। रोग की अवस्था भी एक मौका है शारीरिक, मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक शुद्धि के लिए। इसीलिए पहले प्रयास करें की संतुलित और संतुष्ट रहें ताकि रोग ग्रस्त ना हो जाएं। लेकिन किसी कारण वश अगर रोग आ जाए तो इसको भी एक सकारात्मक समय जानकर शुद्धि के लिए तैयार हो जाना चाहिए। इस समय शरीर की मन की और आत्मा की शुद्धि करनी चाहिए और इस अनुभव से दूसरों को भी सकारात्मक ऊर्जा से लाभान्वित करना चाहिए।
