Contraception is the method used to avoid unwanted pregnancy. Copper T or Multi-load is the common name for Intrauterine devices used for contraception.

Karva Chauth is around and on this day many of us fast for our husband. But what about pregnant ladies. There are so many queries about whether we should do this fast-during pregnancy or not.
Ideally you should not fast during pregnancy but if you really want to fast for your husband on this auspicious day then you should not fast without food and without water completely.

Here are a few tips for fasting on Karwa Chauth during pregnancy.

1.Take permission from your treating doctor before fasting on karva chauth because there are many medical conditions like diabetes in which fasting can be really dangerous for you and your baby.
2. Don't fast completely without water. Make few changes and take fresh fruit juices and fluids like coconut water during the day whenever you feel thirsty and tired.
3. In Sargi, avoid high sugar content foods and take plenty of fresh fruit juices, dry fruits and fruits with high water content like pomegranate.
4. Take rest during the daytime and sleep for at least 2 hours. Don't exert yourself.
5. Don't wear heavy dresses and jewellery to avoid unnecessary exertion.
6. Be ready to break the fast during anytime of the day if you are not feeling okay.
7. Even at the completion of the fast don't eat foods with high sugar content and fried foods to avoid unnecessarily high sugar levels in your blood and diabetes and digestion issues.
