Be careful what you ask for :

• We asked for clean and fresh air
• We asked for pollution free cities , rivers , less traffic on roads
• We asked for less work pressure and the privilege of WORK FROM HOME .
• We asked for less crowd in our cities , parks ,malls
• We asked for more time with our families and kids .
• We asked for less interaction with humans , because we thought it would invade our privacy .
• We asked /prayed for wild animals to roam free with/in nature .
• We asked for bright sun and moon and sky laden with stars .
• We asked for social distancing from everyone be it our neighbors , friends or colleagues .

Now we have been given what we have asked for ,why so much of hue and cry …Next time be careful what you ask for !!!!

Some hacks that can help you to minimise the ill effects of this nasty pollution

• Neem
You can wash the skin, hair with neem leaves boiled in water. It will clear the pollutants stuck to your skin and mucosal membrane. If possible , also try to eat three to four leaves at least twice a week . This will help you to purify blood .

• Tulsi (Basil )

Tulsi should be planted at every house to absorb the pollution. In addition ,one should rink 10-15 mil of tulsi juice as it helps to clear pollutants from the respiratory tracts .

• Turmeric
This antioxidant when missed with 1 tablespoon of ghee or honey do wonders. Mix and take it empty stomach .

• Cow Ghee
Put 2 drops of cow ghee in each nostrils every day in the morning and a the bed time to stay clear of the pollutants.

• Pomegranate Juice
To purify your blood drink this wonderful juice of this cardio protective fruit .

• Steam
Add 5 -10 drops of eucalyptus oil and a drop of peppermint oil and take steam. This should be done for five minutes twice a day .

• Practice breathing.

Last but not the least , simple breathing practices like pranyam,kapalbathi and jal neti to combat the ill effects of air pollution .

How to do Mountain Pose: step-by-step instructions

Stand up straight, your legs together, the outer edges of the feet parallel to each other. Spread the weight of your body evenly between the heels, the toes, and the balls of both feet, keep your toes spread wide.Engage your legs and lift your kneecaps.Straighten your shoulders, open your chest, straighten your neck. Bring your pelvis toward the navel.Arms. Here there are several options: 1) Relax them beside the torso 2) Fold your hands in Namaste 3) Raise the arms up past your sides, palms facing each other. Stretch your torso upwards.Relax while maintaining your stability. Don't forget to breathe.

Beginner tip: It may be hard for some people to stay balanced with their feet together. In this case, you may place them a few inches apart. But make sure the outer edges of your feet stay parallel.

Mistakes to avoid: Don’t lift your chin up and don’t bring your lower back forward.

Benefits of Mountain Pose:

Improves posture Strengthens abdominal muscles Relieves sciatica symptoms Prepares you for other standing poses Gives you an energy boost (great pose for a morning practice!)Improves blood circulations in legs Helps to keep your spine and joints young and supple

Mountain pose is a good transition between standing poses. It allows you to rest and to soak up the benefits of the previous pose. It's a beginner pose that helps you build up your strength and improve your balance from your first yoga classes. And imagining yourself as a big mountain grounded to the earth with a peak high in the clouds may really help with the alignment in Tadasana!

My journey with YOGA

Yes I decided to be a YOGI !!!!!!

My name is Vikram Chopra . All in life I have worked in different fields like hospitality , Bpos , IT companies . I realised as working and living lifestyles change drastically, this fast paced life is effecting us a lot .For example poor digestion ,stress , depression , poor body posture , weakened muscles , relationships with family and friends.

And the same thing happened with me as well .

I used to feel completely drained by the end of the day . Bitter relationships , too much of stress. Low immunity and poor body structure and what not. So I decided to make morning yoga practice the very first thing in my do list.

Because I heard that Yoga is best for weight loss, a strong and flexible body, glowing beautiful skin, peaceful mind, good health etc. .

However to tell you the truth


Yoga is only partially understood as being limited to asana (yoga poses). As such, its benefits are only perceived to be at the body level and we fail to realize the immense benefits yoga offers in uniting the body, mind and breath. When you are in harmony, the journey through life is calmer, happier and more fulfilling.

Few benefits I would like to mention in this write up of mine.

· Yoga also teaches you how to make better decisions. Everything about practicing yoga involves intention—you set apart time in your day to do it, you move in a specific manner, breathe in a specific way .


· Increases your blood flow. Yoga gets your blood flowing. More specifically, the relaxation exercises you learn in yoga can help your circulation, especially in your hands and feet. Yoga also gets more oxygen to your cells, which function better as a result .


· Yoga can even help improve your relationship with your spouse, parents, friends or loved ones! A mind that is relaxed, happy and contented is better able to deal with sensitive relationship matters. Yoga and meditation keeps the mind happy and peaceful; and watch how your relations with those around you blossom !


Here I am teaching Yoga to all , which is not only limited to asans or yoga poses. My teaching would help in uniting body , mind and breath and you can see the miracles happening to yourself .
