When you hear “It’s cancer”, everything feels urgent.

But here’s something most people don’t realize👇

👉 The first 48 hours are not about rushing
👉 They are about understanding your disease properly

Because:
✔️ Every cancer is different
✔️ Every patient is different
✔️ And the right plan needs the right information

The biggest mistake? Acting in panic instead of clarity.

Start simple:
Talk to the right expert. Ask the right questions. Take one step at a time.

Save this—for yourself or someone who might need it.

This is the story of a 16-year-old boy diagnosed with a rare disorder — X-linked sideroblastic anemia.
For years, he remained transfusion dependent, requiring repeated blood transfusions. When he came to us for a potential cure through stem cell transplantation, the biggest challenge was the non-availability of a matched related or unrelated donor.
After detailed discussions with the family, we decided to proceed with a haploidentical stem cell transplant using his sister as the donor.
Today, 18 months after transplant, he is transfusion-independent, GVHD-free, and has full donor chimerism.

I am happy to share that his case report has now been published in Pediatric Blood & Cancer. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of haploidentical transplantation in X-linked sideroblastic anemia.

This achievement reflects the power of teamwork in modern medicine.

My sincere thanks to Dr. Abhishek Raj, Dr. Imam Ather, Dr. Sapna Chopra, and Dr. Dinesh Pendharkar- You made this possible. 🙏

A special thanks to our BMT nursing team, whose dedication and meticulous care are the backbone of every transplant program.

And most importantly, our deepest gratitude to the patient and his family for placing their trust in us and walking this challenging journey with courage and hope.

Not all cancers in women get the same attention.

While breast cancer is widely discussed, many other cancers often go unnoticed until symptoms become serious.

Knowing what to look for can make all the difference.

In this post, we’ve highlighted 5 important cancers and their early warning signs:
✔ Breast

Your body often gives signals—don’t ignore them.

She takes care of everyone… but forgets herself. 💜

Many women delay cancer diagnosis — not because they don’t care, but because life comes first.

👩‍👧 Family responsibilities
⚠️ Ignoring early signs
🙊 Fear of “what will people say”

These small delays can turn into big risks.

Your health is not optional. It’s essential.
Don’t ignore symptoms. Don’t delay check-ups.

✨ Early detection can save lives.

Can stress cause cancer?
It’s one of the most common fears — but not entirely true.

Stress does not directly cause cancer, but it can impact your health in ways that may increase risk over time.

The key? Manage stress, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and stay informed.

When someone hears the word “cancer,” three fears usually come to mind:

• Will chemotherapy be very painful?
• How bad will the side effects be?
• What will happen to my future?

These fears are real — but so is hope.

Today, cancer treatments are more advanced, personalized, and supportive than ever before. Many patients go on to live healthy and fulfilling lives after treatment.

✨ The first step is understanding your fears.
The next step is facing them with the right medical support.
