Charaka Jayanti was gracefully observed at Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science, on 28 july 2025 organised by the Department of Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanta.
Dr. Haresh Soni Sir in his inspiring address, beautifully highlighted the timeless wisdom of Charak Samhita, one of the foundational texts of Ayurveda. He explained that Acharya Charak is regarded as the redactor (pratisaṁskartā) of Agnivesha Ta**ra, which was originally composed by Agnivesha. The later contributions of Drudhabala, who completed the Samhita by adding the missing chapters in Chikitsa Sthana and Kalpa-Siddhi Sthana, were also acknowledged with deep respect. Sir enlightened students about the estimated time periods.
An insightful expert lecture by Vd. Santosh Gurav Sir enriched the event, while students showcased their talent and reverence through Shloka Recitations, Rangoli Art based on Charaka Samhita concepts, and creative Reels.
