Disclaimer : Long post πŸ™

This is for the people who are thinking about opting DNB seats

After talking and guiding so many people about DNB , I realised that there are so many questions and confusions in students mind about opting DNB seat or not.

Guys please don't be confused... There are few thing you can keep in your mind before opting DNB I am writing down

1. You should be clear about your branch first
2. It should be your decision only without confusion with opinion of people who even don't know about post graduation and DNB .. better to consult with your college professor who has vast experience in that branch ..I also discussed with Pawan Singhal sir and he guided me in very well manner
3. Passing rate should not be a issue .. if u understand your subject and read properly u will be passed in first attempt mostly otherwise in second attempt.
4. If you getting your branch from govt medical college . You can take it but in some branches u can get best hospital with latest and advanced technology in that branch on the same rank in DNB. So it's upto you what u prefer.
5. Stipend should not be question for preference as many students ask about stipend .. u will get stipend same as MD/MS of state .. it can vary a little in some states.
6. There are pros and cons for opting DNB/MD/MS .. I think every branch has different points for that .. you can talk with your college teacher ..
7. Don't think that you will be a complete doctor of your branch after doing PG .. you will need to work atleast 5 years under someone in private sector or in govt sector to work independently.
8. Preference of hospital also vary .. some people prefer according to city.. some according to no of beds/ govt/trust run hospitals/ workload wise/consultants/academics/ hands on surgery/variety of cases/passing rate etc ..
So every student will definitely have their own preference list ..
9. Once you take decision .. your aim should be to learn and learn only and make your decision right .. every resident in any institute have some issues .. you have to solve or skip those issue simply ..
10. Any hospital who is offering DNB courses they have very good consultatnts of their branch .. they can teach you whatever you need to learn in PG.. you just need to be proactive for learning..
11. All five fingers are not same.
12. People have different opinions and we should respect those also .. this is my opinion and experience.. I think this post will clear your some confusion.πŸ™
