✨ Activities conducted during the Abhiyaan included:
• Free health check-ups: BP, Sugar, Eye, Dental, Cancer Screening, TB Screening, Anemia (HB Check), Pregnancy Check-ups.
• Wellness & lifestyle: Menstrual hygiene, child nutrition, promotion of local food, reducing obesity.
• Easy access: MCP Card, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, JSY, JSSK, Ayushman Cards (70+ years / AAY beneficiaries)

NQAS Virtual External Assessment under the National Quality Assurance Programme (NQAP) was successfully conducted today on 18.08.25 at Makha Health & Wellness Centre – Sub Health Centre (HWC-SHC)

The assessment was carried out by the esteemed external assessors:
1. Dr. Amar Jyoti Deka, West Bengal
2. Dr. Aritra Kayal, Assam

The program commenced with introductions, followed by a PPT presentation and a virtual walkthrough of the facility. The assessment was conducted across the 8 Areas of Concern under NQAS:
• Service Provision
• Patient Rights
• Inputs
• Support Services
• Clinical Care
• Infection Control
• Quality Management
• Outcome
Key Highlights of the Assessment
•Staff interviews on the above Areas of Concern.
•Records and registers were thoroughly checked.
•Hands-on demonstrations were conducted by staff.
•Patient groups were engaged for feedback, ensuring a holistic evaluation of service quality and patient satisfaction.

The virtual assessment was actively supported by:

Breastfeeding Week Observed at Makha Health & Wellness Centre

📍 Venue: Makha Health & Wellness Centre – Sub Centre

As part of the World Breastfeeding Week 2025, an awareness programme was successfully conducted at Makha Health & Wellness Centre on 5th August 2025 during the routine immunisation session. The event was organized under the initiative of the Makha HWCSC, focusing on the theme of promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding.

The program aimed to:
• Raise awareness on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months
• Educate mothers and caregivers on proper breastfeeding techniques
• Highlight the long-term health benefits for both mother and child
• Encourage family and community support to breastfeeding mothers

The event witnessed the active participation of pregnant women, lactating mothers, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, and community members. Educational talks, counseling sessions, and demonstrations were conducted by the health team to enhance awareness and support.

School Health Vaccination Drive at Makha Sr. Sec. School – 06.08.2025

A School Health Vaccination Drive was successfully conducted at Makha Senior Secondary School on 6th August 2025, under the initiative of the Makha Health & Wellness Centre.

The drive aimed to strengthen child health and immunity through timely vaccination, as part of the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP). Students falling under the age groups of:
• 5 years
• 10 years
• 16 years

were vaccinated as per the recommended schedule.

The program was conducted smoothly with the active involvement of the School Health Ambassador and Nodal Teacher, ensuring coordination between the health team and school authorities.

The initiative was well-received by students, teachers, and parents, highlighting a shared commitment toward building a healthier and disease-free future for the younger generation.

Janbhagidari Sabha at Makha Sr. Sec. School – 06.08.2025

A Janbhagidari Sabha was successfully conducted at Makha Senior Secondary School under the initiative of Makha Health & Wellness Centre on 6th August 2025.

The program focused on creating awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) and its symptoms, in alignment with the national goal of achieving a “TB Mukt Bharat” (TB-Free India).

As part of the awareness campaign, a Lukar Natak (street play) on TB was performed by the Ananta Theatre Group, effectively delivering important messages on TB prevention, early detection, and treatment through engaging and impactful storytelling.

The event provided a valuable platform to inform, engage, and mobilize students and teachers in the fight against TB, thereby promoting active participation in public health initiatives.

The fruitfulness of the programme was evident through the enthusiastic participation of the Principal, teaching staff, and students, reflecting strong community support for TB elimination efforts.
