Dysmenorrhea !
is the medical term for painful menstrual periods, characterized by cramps and lower abdominal pain, often with back pain, nausea, or fatigue, caused by uterine contractions
Causes-
Primary Dysmenorrhea: High levels of prostaglandins cause uterine muscles to contract.
Secondary Dysmenorrhea: Caused by reproductive organ disorders like endometriosis, fibroids, or pelvic inflammatory disease.
Symptoms-
Cramping in the lower abdomen, often radiating to the back or legs.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Fatigue, headaches, dizziness.
Heavy bleeding, irregular periods, or bleeding between periods
Types
Primary: Pain starts shortly before or with your period
Secondary: Pain may start earlier, last longer, and worsen over time.
