The symptoms are mostly non specific and often the disease is diagnosed in late stages. Awareness regarding the symptoms and meeting your clinician is the key to early diagnosis and effective treatment.

However, it is also one of the preventable and treatable malignancies, if diagnosed at am early stage.

Some of the methods used to treat lung cancer are chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, and targeted therapy. Stereotactic body radiation therapy or SBRT is a treatment that provides exact and intense doses of radiation to cancer cells with minimal damage to healthy tissue. SBRT is a non-invasive way of treatment with fewer fractions of therapy required as compared to conventional methods.

Delivered an awareness lecture on ovarian cancer on the occasion of Women's Day in a Delhi school. The session was very interactive due to active participation of the wonderful audience.
Ovarian cancer is considered as a silent killer as most of the cases are diagnosed in advanced stages only, leading to high mortality rates. Symtoms are usually very non specific and a high index of suspicion is needed especially in high risk cases.
