कौआ एकमात्र ऐसा पक्षी है, जो बाज़ पर चोंच मारने की हिम्मत करता है, वह बाज़ की पीठ पर बैठता है और उसकी गर्दन पर काटता है, लेकिन बाज़ उसे कोई जवाब नहीं देता और न ही कौआ से लड़ता है तथा न ही कौआ पर अपना समय बर्बाद करता है। बस अपने पंख खोलता है और आकाश में ऊँचा उठना शुरू कर देता है। उड़ान जितनी ऊँची होती जाती है, उतना ही मुश्किल होता है कौए का ऊपर साँस ले पाना। और फिर, आक्सीजन की कमी के कारण कौआ नीचे भूमि पर गिर जाता है....!!! आज तक जिस कौए ने ऐसा किया, अनिवार्य रूप से उसका हस्र यही हुआ। कौए की यही नियति है क्योंकि वह अपने को बदलना नहीं चाहता।
