Acne vulgaris, commonly known as acne, is a common skin problem. It is a disease of the pilosebaceous unit (which consists of the hair root, hair tip, and oil glands) that initially affects the face, chest, and back. Acne begins when excess sebum (oily substance) blocks the hair root, allowing bacteria to grow and cause acne. Its identity is black warts, freckles, white warts, zits.
If you have only a few red marks, or pimples then you have mild acne. Severe acne means hundreds of pimples that may cover the face, neck, chest and back, or it may be large, hard, red lumps that are painful.
Acne is very common in teenagers, usually occurring during puberty. It affects both men and women
