Causative Agent – Adenovirus
Symptoms:
• Sudden onset
• Redness of one or both eye
• Burning sensation
• Irritation in eyes
• Watery discharge
• Sensitivity to light
• Sensation of foreign body in eyes
Precautions:
• Wear dark goggle
• Avoid touching with hand.
• Avoid hand shake
• Use separate towel and bed sheet
• Wipe eyes with clean cotton hand kerchief
Treatment:
• Cold compresses
• Splash normal or cold water on eyes
