Your disc just ruptured. Here's what's happening:
The soft inside pushed through the tough outer layer. Now it's pressing directly on a nerve.

If it's your lower back - that's sciatica. Sharp pain down your leg.
If it's your neck - pain shoots into your arms and hands.

But here's the thing: 90% of people heal without surgery. Your body can reabsorb the leaked material over time. Yoga therapy and rest do most of the work.

Surgery is the last resort - not the first.

The vagus nerve helps your body return to calm.

๐ŸŽŠ It's stimulation, shifts the body from sympathetic nervous state (fight or flight) to parasympathetic nervous state (rest and digest).

How do we do it through yogic practices ??

To name a few -

โœ…๏ธ Jalandhara Bandha (chin lock) directly stimulates the vagus nerve by compressing neck nerves, slowing heart rate and inducing calmness.
Integrating bandhas with pranayama enhances parasympathetic effects

โœ…๏ธ Supine Twist (Kativakrasana), and Viparita Karani massage abdominal organs and improve circulation, signaling calm through the vagus nerve.
Brahma mudra (Neck stretches) release tight muscles around the nerve's path, while Matsyasana opens the throat and heart for gentle stimulation.
Inversions like Sarvangasana increase neck blood flow, supporting nerve activation

โœ…๏ธ Chanting OM and Brahmari (humming bee breath) generates vibrations that elevate vagal activity and autonomic balance

The core group of adductors consists of four muscles connecting the pelvis to the femur.

Because they so closely overlap, understanding their exact placement from the front view can be difficult. A much better approach is to dig into them from the back.

The first and most dominant structure is the Adductor Magnus. This thick powerful muscle, spans almost the entire length of the femur, essentially forming a wall that overshadows the others beneath it.

Once we remove the Magnus, three smaller adductors reveal themselves in a neat sequence. Starting from the bottom, we find the Adductor Longus. Directly above it lies the shorter Adductor Brevis. And sitting at the very top is the smallest of the group, the Adductor Minimus.

From the back, it looks like these muscles stack one on top of the other. However, shifting to an upper-front perspective reveals their true arrangement: they actually start at nearly the same height on the femur, but are layered at different depths.

Together, these four muscles form the structural core of the adductors.

Most people avoid lifestyle change until they're left with no other option.

Surgery isn't a quick fix-it's what happens when you've run out of easier ones.

And pills? They don't fix the cause.

Do the hard work now, or pay for it later.
