A meeting was held today at Halmira TE under Charingia BPHC to discuss on the pilot project - Swasthyaban Shramik Yojana to be carried out at the tea garden. The SDM&HO, BPM, BCM, CHO (Adharsatra Ayushman Arogya Mandir) briefed the Manager and other officials from the tea garden on the guidelines and action plan for the project.

Awareness on Wild Mushroom Poisoning:

District Epidemiologist (IDSP), Food Safety Officer, Block Health Team including Sr.M&HO of Morangi MPHC, CHO along with Lab Technician investigated the affected area for suspected Mushroom poisoning cases of Jackson Gaon of Buragohain Khat area under Morangi reporting unit. All 3 number of cases are undergoing treatment at SKKCH, Golaghat and they are in improved condition. Awareness activities have been done on the ill effects of wild mushroom poisoning. Field level workers including ASHA Supervisors and ASHAs have been engaged for active surveillance in the area.

As part of an awareness programme was organised today at Halmira Tea Garden under the Charingia BPHC. The event was planned at the TE as part of the Swasthyaban Shramik Yojana- a pilot project undertaken at selected tea gardens of Assam, Halmira TE being selected for Golaghat district.

During the awareness meeting, pregnant women and lactating mothers were oriented on the importance of Breastfeeding. DME, DCM, BPM, BCM, Community Health Officer and others were present at the programme.

Glimpses of the visit by the Honourable Health Minister to Sarupathar Co-District Civil Hospital today. The Honourable MLA, Sarupathar LAC, Sri Biswajit Phukan accompanied the minister during the event. The Health Minister toured the health facility and inspected the functioning of the various equipment and services being offered to the public. He also interacted with the senior medical officers and staff and discussed various issues associated with the improvement of health care services at the Co- District civil hospital.

The Honourable Health Minister, Sri Ashok Singhal visited Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital (District Hospital) today. During his visit he made a tour of the NRC, DEIC, ICU etc and participated in a public meeting. The Health Minister was accompanied by the Honourable Finance Minister, Smti Ajanta Neog, Mission Director, NHM, Assam, Director Health Services, FW, District Commissioner, public representatives and others.

MLA, Khumtai LAC, Sri Mrinal Saikia, Mission Director, NHM, Assam, Director Health Services (FW), District Commissioner, Sri Pulak Mahanta, JtDHS, SDM&HO, Dy, Superintendent, Khumtai Model Hospital and other key members were present. The Health Minister interacted with the staff and OPD patients during his visit.
