GIMS observed World No To***co Day with a series of impactful activities aimed at spreading awareness on the dangers of to***co and encouraging people to quit the habit for good.

💬 The day began with a health talk at the To***co Cessation Centre (TCC), where experts including doctors, dentists, and public health professionals spoke about the serious health impacts of to***co use. Attendees were guided on how to quit with the support of free counselling and pharmacological therapy available at GIMS TCC.

📍 Awareness sessions were also held at:
• Dental OPD
• Urban Health & Training Centre (UHTC), Kasna
• GIMS Campus

🎤 A special address by Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kr Gupta, Director, GIMS, was delivered at Patanjali Hall. He emphasized this year’s theme:
“Bright Products. Dark Intentions. Unmasking the Appeal.”
He called on everyone—students, faculty, health professionals, and the community—to join hands in creating a to***co-free future.

🙌 The program saw enthusiastic participation from faculty, residents, students, staff, and community members. The event reaffirmed GIMS’s commitment to supporting the National To***co Control Programme (NTCP) and WHO’s mission for a healthier world.
