Why is Ayurveda more relevant than ever in today’s world?
• We need self-love and compassion more than ever and Ayurveda helps us embrace and live according to our unique nature. The self-care and daily routine activities help us come back and connect to ourselves. It is a non-judgemental science. We are not trying to change our body type, but embrace it!
• The health fads and diets are constantly changing in today’s world. It is difficult to know what to believe, as the science is always changing. Sometimes coconut oil is good, other times it’s poison. Sometimes we need cholesterol, other times it’s bad. Sometimes caffeine is amazing, other times not so much. Ayurveda tells you what’s best for body type and more importantly tells us to listen to our own body and what feels right for us. It is at least 5000 years old and has stood the test of the time. Ayurveda does not change based on fads.
• Many of us have lost touch with nature and Ayurveda helps us live according to the natural circadian rhythms (seasonal eating, sleep cycle, wake cycle etc).
• Ayurveda tells us to listen to our own inner wisdom. No doctor, teacher, practioner, consultant, or healer can tell you what is best for your body. You are your own best healer.
• Ayurveda takes a complete mind, body, and soul approach to health. All three areas are seen as equally important. It is truly holistic! A consultant takes into account all areas of a person’s life and what has brought them out of balance: digestion, mind, nutrition, relationships, living one’s purpose, sleep, etc
