A Two-day hands-on workshop titled “Empowering Mind: Critical Thinking, Innovation, and Research Methodology in Practice” on 7th–8th July 2025 was proudly hosted by the Department of Community Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University.
Unlike traditional sessions, this workshop focused on *doing rather than just knowing*.
From the very first day, participants engaged in real-world problem-solving—debating fake news and AI ethics through structured simulations. They didn’t just listen; they deconstructed arguments, applied logic, and collaborated in teams. Using the 3I Model, they reshaped conventional research topics into innovative ideas through interactive group exercises. Research methodology came alive through games and scenario-matching activities.
Day 2 was all about practical exposure. Participants built and peer-reviewed their own research tools with guidance from experienced faculty. A major highlight was Prof. (Dr.) Gopal Singh Charan’s impactful session on data analysis, where participants handled raw datasets—cleaned data, created visual charts, and derived insights with confidence.
The workshop concluded with engaging activities on research writing, citation games, and transforming abstracts into posters. Each session was designed to build skills through action, collaboration, and creativity, making this workshop not just informative, but transformative.
