Press meet and academic CME with Nursing Home Association, Mathura om 28th February 2026!
It was an honor to address the esteemed members of the Nursing Home Association, Mathura, during the Press Meet and Academic CME held on 28th February 2026.
As spine specialists, we often treat patients suffering from chronic back pain — but rarely do we talk about the silent sufferers within our own medical fraternity. Doctors, surgeons, and healthcare professionals spend long hours standing in OTs, bending during procedures, or sitting in clinics with poor posture. Over time, this takes a serious toll on the spine.
Back pain in doctors is not just discomfort — it can lead to slipped discs, cervical spondylosis, lumbar degeneration, and even early burnout due to chronic pain. Prevention through correct ergonomics, posture correction, core strengthening, and timely evaluation is the key.
During the CME, we discussed:
✓ Common spine issues seen in medical professionals
✓ The importance of OT ergonomics
✓ Early warning signs doctors should not ignore
✓ Non-surgical and advanced surgical treatment options
✓ Long-term spine care strategies
As healthcare providers, we dedicate our lives to healing others. It is equally important that we prioritize our own spinal health to ensure longevity in our profession.
I thank the Nursing Home Association, Mathura, for organizing this important academic discussion and for giving me the opportunity to share insights on protecting the spine of those who protect society’s health.
Let us remember — A healthy doctor means healthier patients.
