I am delighted to share that, by the blessings of the Almighty and the tremendous support of you all, Institute of Chest Surgery and Lung Transplant at @ Medanta has received the award for Active Emerging Lung Transplant Centre in North India from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO).
The award was presented by Smt. Anupriya Patel Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare during 14th Organ Donation day celebrated at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi.
Other dignitaries present were Dr. V. K. Paul( NITI Aayog, Health), Health Secretary Govt of India Shri Apurav Chandra, DGHS India Dr. Atul Goyal and Dr. Anil Kumar Director NOTTO.
This achievement has only been possible due to the continuous guidance of Dr. Naresh Trehan, the able leadership of Dr. Arvind Kumar & Dr. Anil Bhan, and the tremendous efforts of the entire Transplant Team.
We are also deeply grateful to our fellow doctors who trust us with the treatment of their end-stage lung failure patients, as well as to government organizations supporting this mammoth task such as MoHFW, NOTTO, State Governments, CISF and many more. Our appreciation extends to the airline industry, hundreds of NGOs dedicated to the noble cause of organ donation, and our patients who give us the opportunity to serve them.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the families of all members of Lung Transplant Team at Medanta without whose support we could not even think of achieving one percent of it.
Above all, we owe this success to the organ donors who provide the Gift of Life, truly embodying the spirit of "Angdaan Mahadaan."
