If you really listen, self-doubt doesn’t sound cruel.
It sounds reasonable:
“Others are ahead.”
“Maybe I should be doing more.”
“Maybe I’m already late.”
And that’s where we tire ourselves, running on someone else’s timeline.
Krishna never asked us to rush. He never asked us to compare our chapter 3 with someone else’s chapter 20. He simply said: do your work.
Your effort is yours. Your sincerity is yours. The outcome was never in your control.
Somewhere along the way, we forgot this. We started measuring progress by speed, peace by productivity, worth by results.
This verse isn’t about doing less. It’s about carrying less.
So if today feels slow or heavy, maybe you’re not behind. Maybe you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. 🌿
