Most common reasons of weight gain:
1. Improper eating habits- either you are eating less or over consuming, or the timings of the meal isn’t as required to be.
2. Excess Consumption of processed/ packed/ or outside food - having outside food once in a week as one meal is good, but having it regularly as one meal of day is not.
3. No or very less exercise - Diet goes hand in hand with exercise to have good results. So doing exercise is as important as following good diet.
4. Health conditions and medications - Some hormone problems may cause overweight and obesity, such
as underactive thyroid, Cushing syndrome and polycystic o***y
syndrome. Certain medicines also may cause weight gain, including some
corticosteroids, antidepressants, and seizure medicines.
5. Stress, and Poor Sleep-
Some people eat more than usual when they are bored, angry, upset, or stressed.
Studies also have found that the less people sleep, the more likely they are to have overweight or obesity. This is partly because hormones that are released during sleep help control appetite an the body's use of energy.
