Shloka 2.44 :- In the minds of those who are too attached to sense enjoyment and material opulence, and who are bewildered by such things, the resolute determination for devotional service to the Supreme Lord does not take place.

Anaylsis :- Here krishna is explaining what are preconditions to follow spiritual path.
( Spiritual path means devotional service to god ).

Krishna says if a person mind is attached to maya the spiritual path to god will not be found.
Ex :- a person who seeks sense enjoyment in life like addiction to money or fame or opposite s*x etc.
That person cannot follow spiritual path.

Let us understand concept of duty :-

What action a person should perform in various situations as per krishna is basic defination of duty.

Duties of a individual based on priority.

1. Duty towards his country is foremost.
2. Duty towards his parents
3. Duty towards family and society.
4. Duty towards oneself or god.

Ex :- A person works honestly and hard in his job is duty towards his country.
A person takes care of his parents in old age is his duty. ( God cannot omit curses from parents )

Shloka 2.42-43 :- Those with limited understanding, get attracted to the flowery words of the Vedas, which advocate ostentatious rituals for elevation to the celestial abodes, and presume no higher principle is described in them. They glorify only those portions of the Vedas that please their senses, and perform pompous ritualistic ceremonies for attaining high birth, opulence, sensual enjoyment, and elevation to the heavenly planets.

Anaylsis :- In this shloka krishna diffrentiates between fools and intelligent.
Fools or people with limited knowledge ask krishna for money , career , family life etc.
Intelligent person seeks devotional service or path to spirituality.

Krishna says people with low knowledge use religous knowledge given in vedas to seek money, fame, heaven under assumption there is nothing more to life.

Krishna says vedas have paths to pleasure and path to god.
The fool takes path of pleasure and use knowledge of vedas for pleasure of his senses.
Ex :- A person gets daily pooja done at temple to have career growth.

Shloka 2.41 :- : O descendent of the Kurus, the intellect of those who are on this path is resolute, and their aim is one-pointed. But the intellect of those who are irresolute is many-branched.

Analysis :- In this shloka krishna says or talks about people who follow buddhi yoga.
Aim is one-pointed means they follow path of duty.
Ex :- doing job honestly or fighting for country.
Krishna says people who follow buddhi yoga are determined and focussed on duties in life.

Krishna says people who do not follow buddhi yoga there mind creates multiple thoughts and they are directionless in life.
Ex :- a soldier following buddhi yoga is clear his job is to save the country.
A soldier not following buddhi yoga will have multiple thoughts like :- should i run away from battle or should i fight or should i pretend sick etc.

Questions :- A president of the country...karma analysis

Answer :- Assuming president name is A.
Country name is B.

President A is fair and governs his country well.
70 percent will like him .
30 percent will not.
In any country nobody can be liked 100 percent.

President will go out or die with very heavy positive karma.

POSITIONS OF POLITICIANS OR ACTORS OR INDUSTRIALIST CAN GENERATE VERY HIGH POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE KARMA FOR A SOUL OR A PERSON.

What is karma...

Answer :-

1. Human mind creates thoughts.
2. Thoughts are nothing but sound energy
3. The energy radiating out of human mind because of thoughts is karma.
4. If your thoughts are in right direction it is positive karma. Ex :- doing work honestly.
5. If you are cheating or manipulating it is bad karma
6. If you leave everything on god at mental level there is zero karma.

Examples to get better clarity.

1. You slap a person. That person abuses you for 3 months. The abuse thoughts energies become as bad karma for you.

2. You help someone. The person thinks well about you that is positive karma.

3. A person thinks of manipulating someone that is bad karma a person generates for oneself.

4. Suppose a girl is physically voilated and she is happy about it. This situation will not create bad karma for a person who was involved from girl side.
In this case bad karma will be for a person for his thoughts of manipulation.

( please note soul will not move out of life and birth cycle till karma is zero).

Sin :- Bad karma is called sin.

Shloka 2.40 :- Working in this state of consciousness, there is no loss or adverse result, and even a little effort saves one from great danger.

Anaylsis :- Here great danger means bad karma.
Here krishna is talking about mind or buddhi yog.

Krishna says when a person works in state of buddhi yoga chances of him going towards path of duty are very high or derailing from path of duty are very low.

Shloka 2.39 :-Hitherto, I have explained to you Sānkhya Yog, or analytic knowledge regarding the nature of the soul. Now listen, O Parth, as I reveal Buddhi Yog, or the Yog of Intellect. When you work with such understanding, you will be freed from the bo***ge of karma.

Anaylsis :- Sankhya yog means moving towards god via logic.
How krishna has explained it by giving insight into functioning of soul ++ how society views people not doing there duties.

Here krishna says logic and mind are different.
Ex :- logic says do not consume alcohol but mind of a person forces him to.

Yog of intellect or buddhi is nothing but how mind works and should be used.

Krishna says working with knowledge of buddhi yog a person can reach a stage where karma does not touches him.

Anaylsis :- Let us understand what sin is.
As per krishna sin is when a person does not do duties in life.
A PERSON DOES DUTIES IN LIFE BASED ON MENTAL STATE OR HIS THOUGHTS.

VERY IMPORTANT :- How to avoid sin.
ANSWER :- When a person reaches a certain mental state which is :-

1. You have gained 1 million dollar in stocks or you have lost is...mental state should remain the same.

2. Your girl friend has accepted marriage proposal or has rejected it..mental state should be same

There can be many more examples like above.

Shloka 2.38 :- Fight for the sake of duty, treating alike happiness and distress, loss and gain, victory and defeat. Fulfilling your responsibility in this way, you will never incur sin.

Anaylsis :- @@ In previous few shlokas krishna explained the situation to arjun from angle of society @@
In this shloka is given jest to life or how life should be lead.

1. A human should do his duties.
2. V.V. IMPORTANT :- In all situations mind or thoughts should remain the same. Ex :- mind should be alike if you are eating burger at macdonald or on street or in a 5 star hotel.
3. Krishna says in all situations of life wether you are happy or distress .... in loss or gain...victory or defeat
The mind should create similar thoughts.

Krishna says if you do duties in life with similar thoughts in each situation...sin is not incurred.

( please read the shloka 3-4 times...very very important )
