It was an absolute pleasure spending time with these wonderful little ones today! We had a fun-filled session with motor coordination games, Brain Gym activities, and a quiz — all focused on learning about how amazing our brain is and how we can keep it healthy and happy. 🧠✨

We also shared simple yet powerful tips on maintaining good brain health and helping our minds perform at their best. Truly, this was the most meaningful way I could celebrate Children’s Day — with laughter, learning, and lots of smiles! 💫

Infantile Spasm Awareness Week - 1-7th December

Infantile spasms or West Syndrome is a neurological emergency and has seizures which can be easily missed by parents and caregivers.
Sudden shock like movements, forward or backward jerking / bending, head drops sometimes as subtle as upward jerky eye movements.
It can lead to delay or regressions of the infant’s milestones particularly social milestones.

It needs urgent attention and treatment to avoid the developmental impact of this devastating epilepsy.

Infant / children at risk are those with history of NICU / nursery admission at birth, prematurity, hypoxia (low oxygen)seizures at birth, low sugar at birth, developmental malformations of brain, genetic and metabolic conditions and more.

Let’s educate ourselves to recognise symptoms early, so that any child with infantile spasms gets urgent attention and optimal treatment.
