As a preamble it looks like a confession letter from a clinician but in fact it is a story that we will like to tell you as it is the story of genesis of our dream, which we call as Drome. The succeeding paragraphs will tell you how some dreamers have become Dromers.

The rigorous training of a doctor at the medical institutions is essentially for a battle against the diseases wherein doctor and patient are in the same team. After many years of training to develop skills and knowledge, and with an overwhelming desire to benefit the patients from that training, in Practise, the doctor realises that there are multiple factors that decide the predictability of efficacy of treatment and thus outcomes. The rising costs of healthcare clubbed with uncertainties of outcome has brought a deep divide amongst patients and doctors. The trust has been now replaced with suspicion from both sides as patients feel that doctors have financial interests in all their actions while doctors see every patient as a possible litigant and try to play safe by over investigating.
