The Technology Transfer Cell, SGT University, in collaboration with the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), SGT University, organized a visit to the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (F**T), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi on May 15, 2023. A total of 42 students from diverse faculties, including Faculty of Dental Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, SGT College of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, participated in the visit. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with a deeper understanding of the innovation ecosystem, technology transfer processes, and facilitate interactions with IIT Delhi faculty, researchers, and entrepreneurs. At IIT, Ms. Shivan Jha, senior programme lead, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the innovation ecosystem, covering pre-incubation, startups, development of business model incubation processes, and intellectual property rights. The session was followed by visit to the incubation centre arranged by Manisha Singh, PRO, F**T where students had opportunity to interact with incubates, discuss ongoing projects, and gain valuable insights into the operational aspects of a leading technology transfer, startups and business venture. The visit provided a unique opportunity for students to gain insights into the innovation ecosystem and technology transfer processes.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Poonam Arora, Convener, TT Cell; Mr. Narseh Kumar, Convener, IIC-SGT University; Dr. Yogesh Sharma, Associate Professor, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences; and Ms. Kulpooja, Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing under chairmanship of Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa and Dr. Shalin Kapoor.
