SGT College of Pharmacy, under the aegis of SVSP and Ally for Pharmaceutical Information (API), successfully organised an Awareness Drive on Safe Disposal of Expired Medicines on December 2, 2025, at Badli Village, Jhajjar, Haryana. The drive aimed to educate the community about the health and environmental hazards associated with improper disposal of expired or unused medicines. The event focused on promoting safe methods of medication disposal, encouraging responsible behaviour among households, and reducing pharmaceutical contamination in the environment.

The programme was organised under the guidance of the Conveners Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa, PVC, SGT University; Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Advisor, SGT College of Pharmacy; and Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy. The event was effectively coordinated by the SVSP team members Dr. Sonika Shrivastav, Assistant Professor, SGTCOP, and Dr. Divya Yadav, Associate Professor, SGTCOP. The API Coordination team included Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya (Mentor, API), Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Kavita Attri, Mr. Shivam Vashist, and Mr. Sushil Gulia, Assistant Professor, SGTCOP, who collectively ensured the smooth ex*****on of all activities.

SGT College of Pharmacy observed World Pollution Day 2025 on December 2, 2025, with an impactful awareness initiative organised at Badli Village, Jhajjar, Haryana. The event aimed to sensitize the community about the escalating issue of environmental pollution and the urgent need to adopt sustainable practices. With the theme “Reduce pollution today, secure tomorrow,” the programme highlighted the importance of air, water, and soil conservation while encouraging the villagers to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

The event was organised under the guidance of the Conveners Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, and Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya, whose leadership ensured a meaningful outreach programme. The coordination team comprising Dr. Divya Yadav, Dr. Sonika Shrivastav, Mr. Sushil Gulia, and Mr. Shivam Vashisht efficiently managed field activities and community interactions.

SGT College of Pharmacy at SGT University, organised a Group Discussion to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, reflecting on his sacrifice for human rights and religious freedom. The event reflected the Guru’s timeless message of courage, compassion, and pluralism. The program began with the Event Introduction, followed by an insightful Message and Interaction by the Dean. A Group Photo marked the collective spirit of participation.
A total of nine groups took part in the discussion, each presenting meaningful reflections on the sub-themes. Participants explored:
1. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s role in safeguarding religious freedom during Mughal rule
2. Lessons for modern India in human rights, leadership, and moral courage
3. The relevance of sacrifice, compassion, and pluralism in contemporary education
4. Economic and cultural importance of his martyrdom in nation-building
5. Comparisons with global examples of selfless sacrifice
6. The continuing relevance of his message in today’s world
The Group Presentations demonstrated deep research, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary perspectives from faculty and students. The event concluded with Concluding Remarks by Dr. Bindiya Chauhan, appreciating the participants’ thoughtful contributions and reaffirming the significance of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s legacy in shaping societal values. This event was convened under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Atul Nasa, Pro Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, and Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy, and well coordinated by Dr. Bindiya Chauhan & Dr. Akhilesh Patel.

SGT College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Office of International Relations, organized an insightful Guest Lecture Session entitled “A Journey from Pharmaceutical Sciences to Genomics” on 17 November 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at D-Block, SGT University.

The session featured Dr. Vipin Kumar, Scientist-II, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

The lecture explored cutting-edge concepts in genomics, spatial biology, precision medicine, and advanced drug-design technologies, highlighting the transition from core pharmaceutical sciences to modern interdisciplinary research. Students gained meaningful insights into translational research pathways, collaborative scientific innovation, and global opportunities in biosciences.

SGT College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organised a workshop on “AI and 4.0 Tools for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on 18th November 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at 12, Birbal Sahni Block, SGT University, Gurugram. The session was conducted by Mr. Ashish Rai (QA Engineer, Appnox Technologies), who shared valuable insights into the use of Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 tools for innovation and entrepreneurship. The workshop was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa (Pro Vice Chancellor, SGTU), Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam (Dean, SGT College of Pharmacy), and Dr. Reena Badhwar, with Mr. Sushil Gulia and Mr. Shankar as organizers.
