SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University successfully organized an academic visit to the
Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) 2026 Release on 2 January 2026 at the Dr. Ambedkar
International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi, under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar
Nasa, Pro Vice Chancellor, SGT University, and Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Advisor, SGT
College of Pharmacy. The visit was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Dean,
SGT College of Pharmacy, and Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya, Associate Dean, SGT College of
Pharmacy, with effective coordination by Dr. Ravi Kant, Dr. Prabhat, and Dr. Vineeta Meena.
The programme was graced by Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health
& Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, along with senior
officials and experts associated with the IP 2026 release. The formal release of IP 2026,
followed by expert sessions, highlighted its significance in pharmaceutical quality control,
standardization, and regulatory compliance.
Pharmacy students actively participated in interactive discussions, gaining valuable insights into
regulatory pharmacy and quality assurance, thereby strengthening the linkage between
academic learning and real-world regulatory practices.
