SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University successfully organized an academic visit to the
Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) 2026 Release on 2 January 2026 at the Dr. Ambedkar
International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi, under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar
Nasa, Pro Vice Chancellor, SGT University, and Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Bhalla, Advisor, SGT
College of Pharmacy. The visit was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Dean,
SGT College of Pharmacy, and Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya, Associate Dean, SGT College of
Pharmacy, with effective coordination by Dr. Ravi Kant, Dr. Prabhat, and Dr. Vineeta Meena.
The programme was graced by Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health
& Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, along with senior
officials and experts associated with the IP 2026 release. The formal release of IP 2026,
followed by expert sessions, highlighted its significance in pharmaceutical quality control,
standardization, and regulatory compliance.
Pharmacy students actively participated in interactive discussions, gaining valuable insights into
regulatory pharmacy and quality assurance, thereby strengthening the linkage between
academic learning and real-world regulatory practices.

SGT College of Pharmacy (SGTCOP), SGT University successfully organized an Expert Talk on “Surface-Chemistry Solutions: The Organic Chemistry of Electroplating for Metal Finishing, Electronics & Semiconductors.”

The session was delivered by Dr. Sachin Sethi, Director & Head – Surface Chemistry Solutions for Electronics & Data Analytics, MKS Atotech, Manesar, a distinguished R&D leader with over 25 years of global experience. Dr. Sethi elaborated on the role of organic chemistry in modern electroplating technologies, emphasizing their growing importance in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

The talk effectively bridged fundamental chemistry concepts with real-world industrial applications, offering valuable insights into current trends, technological advancements, and industry expectations. The interactive session motivated students and faculty to pursue industry-aligned research, innovation, and scientific excellence.

Our students participated in an enriching Industrial cm Excursion Trip from 17th–19th December 2025 to Win Medicare Pvt. Ltd., Rudrapur (Uttarakhand), followed by an educational and recreational excursion to Nainital.

At Win Medicare Pvt. Ltd., students gained valuable hands-on exposure to contract manufacturing of Revlon products, with detailed insights into the manufacturing processes of lipsticks and compact powders, along with an understanding of cosmetic formulation, GMP standards, quality control, and industrial workflow.

The excursion to Nainital provided a refreshing blend of learning and leisure, promoting team bonding, cultural exposure, and holistic development beyond the classroom.

Such experiences strengthen industry–academia interaction while creating memorable learning journeys for our students.

Cleanliness and personal hygiene play a vital role in maintaining good health and preventing communicable diseases, especially among school-going children. Recognising the importance of early health education, an outreach activity titled “Cleanliness: The First Step to a Healthy Life” was conducted at Government Senior Secondary School, Sultanpur, Gurugram, Haryana. The program aimed to raise students’ awareness of personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and their impact on physical and mental well-being. The outreach activity was conducted under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gauttam, Prof. (Dr.) Sushma Chaturvedi, and Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Setya. Successful Completion of the Postgraduate Academic Visit to the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), Government of India
We are pleased to share that the Postgraduate Academic Visit to NDTL, held on 10th December 2025, was successfully organised by the SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University.
The visit offered our M.Pharm students valuable exposure to accreditation practices, regulatory auditing protocols, and quality risk management at a premier national laboratory. Students also gained hands-on learning across various departments, including sample analysis on hyphenated instruments, athlete biological passport evaluation, and the quality assurance system, enriching their understanding of regulatory and analytical workflows.
We express our sincere gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Nasa, Pro Vice Chancellor, SGT University, for his constant encouragement and institutional support. Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Gautam, Dean, SGTCOP, for his continuous motivation and guidance.
