WHO (World Health Organization) & NIN ( National Institute of Nutrition) recommends less than 5gm of salt / person daily, which is about 1 tea-spoon.

High salt intake not only possesses the risk of hypertension but also heart disease & kidney disease in the long term.

Sendha namak / rock salt / pink salt contains similar quantities of sodium in comparison to white salt. Always prefer Iodised salt in your diet. Low sodium Iodised salts are also preferable.

This is my green juice made from ghiya, cucumbers, lemon, and a pinch of salt.

To save yourself from this prickly heat,
◇ HYDRATE: Plain water is not enough to fulfill the electrolytes lost from the body.
◇ Cucumber 🥒, Kakdi , watermelons 🍉, coconut water 🥥 , curd , lemon 🍋, Bael (Stone apple) , sweet lime (mosambi) , pineapple 🍍, sattu, chaach, are very beneficial in summers.
